Hello and Welcome to Inspire Change.

Inspire Change is a Global Movement.

We say movement because it symbolizes action and change, not just ideals. Anyone can be a part of this movement. The idea is that through our own actions, we can inspire positive change in everyone that we come into contact with.

Our mission with Inspire Change is, through peaceful, non-violent, constructive means, to:

  • Inspire people to live a well balanced life (both physically and spiritually)
  • Increase awareness about issues that we as a human race are facing
  • Give people the tools they need to stand up and take action against these issues
  • Empower people to reach their full potential
  • And most importantly, to help people realize their dreams!

adin5 - making a difference

5th of May 2009 was a groundbreaking (and probably a very scary) day for Adin van Ryneveld. It was Day One of a 5 years long project, doing something nobody has ever done before (to our knowledge).

Adin's idea and project is to make a difference in South Africa by giving away all the money he earns...every bit of it.

Sounds crazy? Yep, that's normally the reaction he gets from people hearing about his project, closely followed by a deep curiosity about how exactly he is going to pull it of.

Election time in South Africa - Avaaz.org taking action!

As we approach the election, there are worrying signs that human rights, democracy and the rule of law are under threat.

As politicians vie to attract the South African people's votes before the April 22 election, this is our chance to tell our leaders that we want commitments from them to uphold the principles that underpin our country.

In Plain Sight but Invisible

railway boysSitting on my backpack in the Rourkela railway station at ten o'clock p.m., I am waiting with my group of four other volunteers for our train. We hover around our amassed baggage, far more than the five of us need because many of the bags contain art supplies, games and treats for the children at the Miracle Foundation orphanage in Choudwar we are on our way to spend a week with.

Congrats Obama: Lets do it together!

After 8 long years of Bush - a fresh start. Let's seize this historic moment to send a flood of global messages to Obama. Our message and the number of signers, as well as all our personal messages, will be displayed on a giant wall in the heart of Washington DC. Over the next 48 hours, the wall could become a focal point for US media reporting on global reactions to the Obama win. A massive global response will help make this a major moment of unity and reconciliation between the US and the world. Let's get to a million!
